One of the fundamentals of having a successful home business is having a plan. Do you have a plan? Or are you just winging it? If you are winging it, how is that working for you? If it's not, maybe you need to rethink not having a plan, lol! Having a home business in the network marketing industry is a lot different from your brick and mortar business. You market differently, your products are different, the method for making sales is different. It's difficult to follow a traditional business plan when your business is so different.
Write down what the goal of your starting your business is. I know I say it over and over, but I can NOT stress enough how important it is to have your goals in writing. You must have a clear picture of what you are trying to accomplish.
Break it down into small steps. If your goal is to enroll new members, write down the number of members you want to enroll, and the date you want to have them enrolled by. Then write down the steps you plan to take to get those members. Creating mini goals or goals within goals will help you achieve each one of your steps faster. Make goals to talk to x amount of people a day, to place x amount of ads, or to participate in x amount of discussions on your favorite social networks.
If your goal is sales, write down how you plan to make those sales. Do you need to schedule parties? Write articles to promote products? Place ads? Drop off samples? Make a list of the things you need to do every day to meet the quota you set for yourself.
Having a plan and working that plan daily will add to your success faster than you can imagine!
